I decided to upgrade both routers to the most recent builds. LOM: "If you show that you have not bothered to read the forum announcements or to follow the advices in them then the level of help available for you will drop substantially, also known as Murrkf's law." If you just want a fish, wait for a fisherman who hands them out. I'm trying to teach you to fish, not give you a fish. See the recommended builds in the peacock and the best builds sticky for guidance. A different build might make a difference too. Try repeater bridge to test and see if that helps, after a full reset. PS: Going to try upgrading both to a later build, but not sure if it will help? Please help or suggest some material I can read. What am I missing? Why can't I connect? Can it only accept one signal at a time? I used to have an old linksys with only one band and used it as a repeater, and it was able to repeat 2.4ghz, and it had the exact same setup with the one I have now. The network mode always matches exactly on both routers (I tried a variation of mix, BG-mixed, NG-mixed, etc.) I am able to connect to the 5ghz repeater but I cannot connect to the 2.4ghz repeater. I want to be able to repeat both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I have both the repeater and AP on the same (less-crowded) channel all named with different SSIDs. Main router/AP (1st floor): Router Model Netgear WNDR3400įirmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mega - build 21061Ģnd router/Repeater (2nd floor): TPLINK TL-WDR3600 v1įirmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std - build 21061

Hi, I did my research and I'm still researching but thought I'd post here first in case anyone can figure out my problem. Posted: Fri 2:55 Post subject: Unable to repeat 2.4ghz, only 5ghz
